Dig Safely - In 1996, the Office
of Pipeline Safety organized the Damage Prevention Quality Action Team
to develop the national campaign now known as Dig Safely. The campaign
was developed to address one of the leading causes of disruption to the
nation's underground facilities - external force damage that occurs
during excavation activities. Since that time, the Dig Safely campaign
has grown tremendously, being used throughout the country to address
damage prevention.

Agriculture - The Educational Programs Committee
performed a survey in 2003 to better understand the educational needs of
the CGA membership. The results helped the committee to identify
specific target audiences, and indicated the need for educational
messages geared toward the agriculture community. As a result, the
CGA has developed an educational campaign promoting the "Dig Safely"
message within the agriculture community, and has made this campaign
available for use by all CGA stakeholders.

Locate Accurately - The
Educational Programs Committee has initiated the development of a
campaign to enhance existing outreach programs for the locating
community. The team has completed a "locate accurately
brochure" and logo.
